scholar.annostor is a standards-based annotation platform that integrates open source applications. By using the service, you agree to the following terms.
Access to scholar.annostor requires authentication via ORCID. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your ORCID credentials and for all activities conducted using your scholar.annostor and ORCID accounts.
You retain full ownership of all annotations, datasets, and materials you create or upload. Data Futures GmbH does not claim any rights over your content. scholar.annostor keeps your material confidential until you decide otherwise.
In order to publish annotations, datasets and materials to external repositories (such as Zenodo), you need to subscribe to scholar.annostor. The licensing terms of such repositories will apply, and you are encouraged to review the terms and conditions of all third-party services relating to your materials before publishing in repositories or elsewhere. Some repositories provide long-term preservation of materials on a restricted basis; making them accessible only to specific communities.
scholar.annostor can retain annotation data indefinitely but it will only store other visual materials and datasets for 12 months unless you maintain your subscription. If you plan to end your scholar.annostor subscription, make sure that you have first deposited your materials and datasets to a repository or otherwise published them.
